Romantic Winery Wedding | Mt Tamborine Wedding Photographer

We had a gorgeous day celebrating David & Katrina’s wedding at Gateway Baptist Church and Albert River Wines near Mt Tamborine.

It was such a lovely and happy day. Katrina was a stunning bride with such a beautiful smile, and four sweet and attentive bridesmaids.

Dave is a bit of a car enthusiast and had a ride to the church in a friend’s Cobra, and then down to the winery in an amazing 1933 Rolls-Royce Phantom II.

I loved the way the cake table was set up at the reception, with wedding photos of both sets of parents – so special!

Saxon Part Three: Newborn | Brisbane Baby Photographer

Saxon came to visit at 10 days new. He was determined to stay awake for much of his session, but eventually drifted off. Such a sweet little guy.

Andrew & Becc were so gorgeous together – so much romance, so many loving gestures. They made my job so easy, and I can’t wait for their wedding.

David & Katrina’s Engagement | Brisbane Wedding Photographer

We spent a lovely sun-soaked afternoon around the St Lucia UQ campus for David & Katrina’s engagement shoot. Engagement shoots are a great time for couples to get to know how it feels in front of the camera, and I always love seeing the smiles, the cheeky looks, the teasing, the walking hand-in-hand.

Beautiful Baby Bump | Brisbane Maternity Photographer

Anticipating a new baby, particularly a first baby, is an exciting time. When I think back to the last few weeks of my pregnancy with Will, I had nowhere near the energy and grace of the gorgeous Briggy – despite being 37 weeks pregnant, she practically bounced up the stairs to the studio, glowing and relaxed.

But it’s not just about the little one on the way – it was such a pleasure to spend some time with this couple, and share in part of their transition from being a couple, to becoming a family.

If you have a little one on the way, and would like to remember this time in your life, you can get in touch here.

Engagement Love | Brisbane Wedding Photographer

Engaged couples are so much fun – heaps of love and affection, full of plans and hope for their upcoming dream wedding. And so many smiles! James & Leanne were no exception. The wedding photos are already done, so I thought I’d better get my act together and blog the engagement session first!

It’s the little things… | Brisbane Family Photographer

I was talking to my mum the other day, comparing notes on our shared propensity for taking an over-abundance of photos when we travel. I remember when we were walking down the Champs-Élysées in Paris, we were standing next to each other, taking almost the exact same photo…

I hate to think how I’d go if I went on another overseas trip now – compulsively seeing everything through a lens rather than putting the camera down and enjoying the moment. Perhaps I could do both, after all, I do love my job.

While Bruce was putting his trailer together a couple of weeks ago, Will and I went down to help/interfere. It was just so adorable watching Will fetch tools, forage in the shed, and do his very best to help and imitate his daddy – of course I had to grab my camera! And I came inside with with 180 photos to edit!

So maybe I have a tendency towards photographic overkill, but as the years go by, I don’t think I’ll regret having a little documentary of that afternoon. It’s not just the big events and significant milestones that make up our life experience, it’s the little things too.

Mother’s Day | Brisbane Family Photographer

Last weekend I enjoyed my second Mother’s Day, and aside from the pampering, I love that it is a day dedicated to celebrating family. Since we’ve had Will, all the things my own mum said to me as a kid suddenly make a whole lot of sense, seen through the eyes of a mother (as she said they would!).

My mum was overseas this year, so I was glad to be able to share some of our day with her through photos of our afternoon in the park. It’s times like these that I’m so grateful for the technology to shoot, edit, upload and share images with someone on the other side of the world!

A Friend’s Love Story | Brisbane Wedding Photographer

I love photographing weddings – the romance, the shared moments of intimacy, all the little details that have been lovingly planned and anticipated. And even better – the wedding of a lifelong friend, when all those things have that much more significance because I know the story that has brought these two together.

I was not the official photographer, and did my best just to be a guest with a camera (I even checked my camera in with the concierge for part of the day!). But I can’t resist sharing a few images of the ceremony and bridal waltz… It was all so beautiful!
